This is a site that is intended for those who wish to analyze the stories of Team ICO's video games, and it will contain SPOILERS for the games ICO and Shadow of the Colossus in almost every page. If you have not finished these games, or are thinking about doing so, then I ask that you finish playing them before viewing any content that is on this site.

INTRODUCTION:

Welcome to the website that explores the stories of Team ICO’s videogames. If you've played either of their first two games than you already know how the use of interpretation is the key factor to the telling of their stories. To some extent the developers wanted us to decide what is within the world of these narratives and the underlying meanings each convey. We, the fans, are intrigued by their enigmatic style of storytelling. Although, this has also caused throughout most videogame forums, people to speculate which is the correct interpretation. Clearly there were going to be more than one. These games gave us two stories that made us look within them for answers, and we have all brought to the table stuff we consider to be the most important to understanding them.

Most gamers know there is a difference to Team ICO then most other companies out there. During a play through of either of their titles, we can see there is a stripped down feel unlike any previous game. This heightens our perception of the atmosphere and makes the gameplay an all-encompassing part of the story. Some games come close and some are on the same level as Team ICO’s games, though most don’t achieve such a unique approach. Many gamers have said they have yet to experience anything that surpasses what Team ICO has come to offer. These particular games, like any good work of fiction, whether it is written or not, have found a special place among us. They have been at the frontline of the argument that videogames can be art, and for us, that enjoyed ICO and/or Shadow of the Colossus, we have a sense as to why that is. I believe we show our praise to such great games by furthering our debates into an in-depth understanding of them. This makes it clearer as to why we consider them so remarkable.

I decided to make a site dedicated to the stories of these games for a reason. These particular games need to become classics among a broader range of people. I want Team ICO to be experienced by more people other than just videogamers. Much can be said through realizing the artistic visions in these games. I believe it's even more beneficial for Team ICO and for the fans to understand why they’ve impacted us. Most will agree that it is their stories that have attracted us to these games and the way they are told. This site can portray our interpretations to uncover the meanings we’ve brought to life. Through an understanding of what we consider to be the most important features about a story, we find the source of the emotions that we’ve felt. Then this leads us to find ourselves.

This is a site intended for those who want to examine the stories from Team ICO really thoroughly, as well as for readers interested in multifaceted discussions about all story aspects for each of their games.
